It is reported that tumor radiation therapy has become one of the fastest-growing sub industries in the field of medical devices and related services. Heavy ion therapy is considered the most accurate, efficient, and safe radiation therapy method at present, with minimal damage to healthy tissues, minimal side effects, short course of treatment, and high cure rate. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of difficult to treat tumors such as unsuitable for surgery and insensitivity to conventional radiation. The Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has cooperated with the hospital to complete the preclinical trial study of 213 tumor patients, and has achieved remarkable results, becoming the first institution in China and the fourth in the world to master the clinical treatment technology of heavy ions.
